Dr. Fadhil Hasan

Dr. Fadhil Hasan is a consultant physician in internal medicine, the specialty that looks after adults with medical conditions affecting any part of the body. At Dar Al Kamal Hospital in Sharjah, Dr. Hasan sees patients across the whole field, with a particular interest in the heart and circulation (high blood pressure, raised cholesterol and heart failure), in hormone and metabolic conditions (thyroid disorders and diabetes), and in lung conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Infections, the care of older adults and acute medical problems are also part of the practice.

Many of these conditions are long term and often occur together, so a consultation is about more than one test result. Roles have included Consultant and Head of the Medical Department at Al Dhaid Hospital under the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Adjunct Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Internal Medicine at the University of Sharjah College of Medicine, and Consultant Physician and Assistant Professor at the Baghdad and Al Nahrain medical colleges in Iraq. Dr. Hasan has also taken part in hospital quality-improvement work aimed at patient safety, and has served on the board of the Alberta International Medical Graduate Association in Canada.
